Please Review Our McCloud Hotel Policies

Updated September 2026

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy
Our flexible 48-hour cancellation policy without penalty is extended until further notice, excluding group reservations. Please do not travel if you are experiencing any symptoms.

Cancellation Policy
Hotels in McCloud, California, are generally small. Because of our limited capacity, cancellations can significantly impact us. We require a minimum of 14 days* notice before your scheduled arrival for any cancellation or change of booking dates. If you do not provide this notice, we may charge a fee equal to 50% of the total booked stay (if it’s for more than one night) or the cost of one night’s stay (whichever is greater). Additionally, all cancellations are subject to a non-refundable $25 room fee.

If you need to change the reservation dates or shorten your stay for any reason, you may make a one-time change up to 14 days before the check-in date. However, this is subject to availability and minimum stay requirements. If you have already checked in and decided to shorten your stay, you will still be charged the full amount as per the original reservation. Please note that for certain holidays and special events, a cancellation notice of at least 30 days is required.

* Please refer to the group contract for the applicable cancellation policy for group reservations of ten (10) rooms or more.

Group Cancellation
Group reservations of ten or more rooms require a non-refundable deposit.

Reservations
To guarantee your reservation, we require a credit card number. If you don’t have a credit card, you must send us a check for at least one night’s stay, including tax, no later than ten days before your scheduled arrival date. Please note that during certain periods, we have minimum stay requirements. If your stay does not meet the minimum requirement, the website will prevent you from booking the room.

Check-in and Check-out Times
Check-in time is at 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is at 11:00 a.m. However, if you arrive early and the room is ready, we would be happy to check you in. If you anticipate arriving after 9 p.m., please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be pleased to make a special arrangement for you.

Rates, Taxes & Gratuities
The rates shown on our booking engine apply to single or double occupancy and include a full breakfast. However, they do not include a 14% lodging occupancy tax and TBID assessment, subject to change without prior notice. The room rate does not cover gratuities for the housekeeping and breakfast crew.

Additional Person
Some of our rooms and suites can accommodate up to two additional guests for $25 per person per night, including children over 2.

Children
Children are welcome at the McCloud Hotel. Kindly check our policy on accommodating additional people.

Pets (aka Dogs)
We gladly welcome dogs at our hotel! You’ll be pleased to know that there’s a beautiful park across the street from the hotel where you can take your furry friend for a walk. Dogs must be kept on a leash in all public areas of the property. We also provide courtesy bags to make it easy for you to clean up after your pet. Please note that there’s a $30 per-day charge for your pet to stay in your room. If your pet causes any damage to the hotel property, including carpets, a $250 cleaning surcharge will be charged to your card.

We are a Smoke-Free McCloud Hotel
We want all our guests to have a comfortable and healthy stay at McCloud Hotel. Therefore, we have a strict no-smoking and no-vaping policy that applies to the entire hotel premises, including the outdoor common areas, porches, patios, and decks. Please note that guests who violate this policy will be charged a $250 penalty fee, which will be added to their room charge. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a healthy and enjoyable stay for everyone.

Accessibility
Our hotel offers rooms on the first floor, but if you require a room on the second floor, please note that access to these rooms requires stairs.

Guest Responsibility
Guests are responsible for any damages caused by their gross negligence.

Unaccompanied Minors
The hotel allows unaccompanied minors but only if they have written permission from a parent or guardian. The parent/guardian must agree to cover any damages caused by the minor or their guests and provide a valid credit card with written authorization. Anyone under the age of 21 is not allowed to consume alcohol on the hotel premises.
