McCloud California hotels tend to be small. Because of our size, cancellations affect us significantly. For any cancellation or change of dates, we must receive 14 days* notice prior to your confirmed arrival. Failure to provide such notice may result in a charge equal to 50% of your booked stay (if more than 1 night) – or one night’s stay, whichever is greater. All cancellations are subject to a $25 non-refundable room fee.
If any change of dates (including shortening a reservation) is requested within 14 days*, regardless of the reason, a one-time change is permitted, subject to availability and minimum stay restrictions. After check-in, a shortened stay will remain charged in full per the original reservation. A 30-day cancellation notice is required for some holidays and special events.
* For group reservations of ten (10) rooms or more, please refer to the group contract for the applicable cancellation policy.
Group reservations consisting of ten (10) or more rooms are final and deposits are completely non-refundable.
Reservations require a credit card number to guarantee. If you don’t have a credit card then we need to receive a check for one night including tax at least ten days prior to your scheduled arrival date. At certain times we impose minimum stay requirements. The website will block you from booking rooms for less than the minimum stay in those cases.
Check-in and Check-out Times
Check-in begins at 3:00 pm. Check-out is at 11:00 am. However, if you arrive early and the room is ready we will gladly check you in. If you think that your arrival will be after 9 PM please contact us so that we can make a special arrangement for you.
Rates, Taxes & Gratuities
Rates are for single or double occupancy and include a full breakfast. Rates do not include a 10% lodging occupancy tax and TBID assessment, subject to change without prior notice. Gratuities for the housekeeping crew are not included in the room rate.
Up to two additional guests may be accommodated in some of our rooms and suites for the rate of $25 per person per night. Children over the age of 2 do qualify as additional guests.

Pets (aka Dogs)
Pets are welcome! There is a nice park across the street from the hotel, which is perfect for exercising your dog and we provide courtesy bags to make cleaning up after your pet easy. There is a one-time charge of $30 for your pet to join you in the room. Any damage done by your pet will be charged to your card including a $250 carpet cleaning surcharge if required.
We are a Smoke-Free McCloud Hotel
For the health and comfort of all guests, the entire McCloud Hotel is 100% non-smoking. This includes the porches, patios and decks including all outdoor common spaces. A $250 cleaning surcharge will be imposed to any room where guests have smoked with disregard for our policy.
Please note that access to some rooms requires the use of stairs.
While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.
Unaccompanied minors are welcome at the hotel provided they have written authorization from a parent or guardian agreeing to pay for any damages caused by the minor or his/her guests. The parents/guardian must also provide a valid credit card with proper authorization in writing. Persons under the age of 21 may not consume alcohol on the premises.
