Relax in the garden or front porch or one of our charming common areas featuring an eclectic selection of books, art, board games, puzzles, and movies; plus a wood-burning fireplace, piano, and soothing background music.
Our sought-after gourmet breakfast is included with your overnight stay at the McCloud Hotel. We make every effort to accommodate allergies, gluten-free and restrictive diets. Start your day with a cup of tea or locally roasted Italian Sumatra coffee starting at 8 am. Mimosas are available for an additional charge. Extra breakfast is available for purchase.
Air Conditioning and Heating
Individually controlled air conditioning and heating in each room and suite put the perfect temperature at your fingertips. All rooms and suites are also equipped with windows that open and ceiling fans when a light breeze is all you require.
The “Fresh Air” collection by Beekman 1802 has a fresh citrus/green fragrance. Each product is made with natural ingredients–no parabens, no petroleum, no mineral oil, no diethanolamine, and no paraffin–no banned phthalates. If you would like to take these products home, full-size items are available for purchase from the gift case in the hotel lobby.
Beach towels are available at the front desk. Please do not take the white guest towels to the river or lake. Thank you!
Beer and Wine
Beverages, by the glass or the bottle, are available for purchase from the front desk or restaurant during regular business hours. We offer an extensive wine list and local craft beers.
An assortment of books is available for your reading pleasure. You may borrow from our lending library and take them to your room. Please return to the lobby library or mail them back to us at the end of your trip.
An assortment of board and card games are available for your pleasure in the hotel lobby. This includes checkers, chess, cribbage and scrabble.
Complimentary coffee and tea are available by request. Souvenir McCloud Hotel Mugs may be purchased from the front desk.
Housekeeping service is not provided during your stay. Extra amenities or towels may be requested. We promote a non-toxic environment, cleaned with environmentally friendly products.
Dog treats are available at the front desk. We also provide small, medium, and large dog beds and water dishes. Just ask!
Doggy Potty is located along the sidewalk on Main Street near the entrance to the north garden. Feel free to walk your dog across the street in the park. We provide complimentary bags for picking up after your dog.

A gas fire pit is located in the north-facing garden for your enjoyment and available seasonally. Ask us about roasting marshmallows for s’mores!
We encourage you to stroll and enjoy various nooks in our garden. Feel free to move the lawn chairs as needed for your comfort.
Ice is available from the front desk during regular business hours. Just ask!
Crocket and Bocce Ball games may be borrowed from the front desk. There are two bocce ball courts at Hoo Hoo Park.
Our Axe & Rose Public House is open at 12 noon Saturday and Sunday for lunch and dinner. A picnic lunch from Sage can also be arranged with 24 hours advance notice.
We can help you arrange massage services in a peaceful and private local spa sanctuary room. May not be available summer of 2020.
Off-street parking is at the back on California Street, on the east side of the hotel. Street parking on Main Street.

The Sage Restaurant at the McCloud Hotel is temporarily closed. Outdoors dining on the pergola-covered terrace is offered seasonally. Reservations suggested.
Axe & Rose Public House is open Wednesday – Friday from 4pm and from 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday.
McCloud has some of the finest water in the world! It originates from a spring on the side of Mt Shasta and comes out of the faucet ice cold. DO drink the tap water. And remember we are at 3271’ elevation so it’s a good idea to drink extra water during your visit so you do not experience symptoms of altitude sickness.
The TV “common room” is located in the small lounge off of the hotel lobby. Nice selection of movies for your viewing pleasure.
The hotel offers a fiber-optic Internet connection for all of your streaming and data needs. Select Hotel-Guest. A password may be obtained from the front desk.
