The McCloud Hotel is, "As perfect as it gets!" -guest comment Feb 2016

“Lovely hotel & beautiful room!” Olivia & Colin Napa, CA, Jan 2021

If you’re curious about what your stay at the McCloud Hotel will entail, we would be happy to fill you in. For generations, the mountains have been a source of inspiration for people, with their towering peaks reaching up towards the sky. At the McCloud Hotel, we strive to amplify this allure so that it becomes even more powerful, memorable, and meaningful. The southern Cascade Mountain Range, which starts at Mount Lassen and connects with Mount Shasta, is in the northernmost part of California. The region is characterized by vast open spaces, alpine watersheds, and invigorating mountain winds that create a peaceful escape. You can expect to experience these natural wonders and more during your stay at our hotel.

AT THE MCCLOUD HOTEL

We have increased the frequency of cleaning in our facility, and you will often see our staff sanitizing the lobby, upstairs parlor, and garden lounging areas. We will also clean handrails, doors, and counters more often throughout the day. Our staff has been advised to stay home if they are feeling unwell. California has lifted travel-related restrictions. We will adapt our protocols as the circumstances change.

CHECK-IN AND TEXT-BASED GUEST MESSAGING SYSTEM

The McCloud Hotel has implemented a text-based Guest Messaging System to improve guest communication. As part of our effort to provide a contactless check-in experience, guests will find an arrival envelope at the front desk if no attendant is available to greet them. This system lets us maintain real-time communication with guests during their entire stay. Additionally, guests can still contact us by phone if they prefer.

A CLEAN & SAFE ENVIRONMENT, AS ALWAYS

McCloud Hotel remains committed to upholding the highest cleanliness standards. It has taken extra sanitary precautions to qualify for the California Hotel & Lodging Association Clean + Safe Certification. We have made some changes to ensure our guests and staff’s health and safety. Below are the response measures to help us maintain a healthy environment for everyone. Employees will be sanitizing, including routinely cleaning frequently touched surfaces throughout the hotel and restaurants.

  • Disposable wipes so that high-touch surfaces (for example, doorknobs, handrails, tables) can be wiped down and disinfected by staff throughout the day.
  • Hand Sanitizer at the check-in desk.
  • Single-use disposable wipes will be available in-room and throughout the hotel.
  • You will see an increased frequency of cleaning restrooms and public areas.
  • As the California Hotel & Lodging Association recommended, we are not offering daily housekeeping. Every guest room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival. During your stay, we will not provide daily housekeeping. Please let our guest services team know if you want a refresher service. We will be happy to schedule service.
  • Your room will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before your arrival.
